International Artist
Terry R Bean

(New York, NY-February 24, 2009)- Arkansas native Terry R Bean will be featured at the International NY Artexpo 2009 in the Jacob Javits Center Feb 26- Mar 2. Terry is fresh from his return from Shanghai, China where he was invited to hang his oil paintings at the new Pudong Art Museum opening exhibit. His next international exhibit will be at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva Switzerland in October 2009 with the theme “An American Artist goes to China.” It will feature work that he has created with three trips to China over the past five years visiting mountain tribes. His major 40x 90 inch triptych “Ancient Music” featuring original Ming Dynasty musical Instruments and clothing worn by musicians will be on display during the show in booth number 512.

“I am excited about taking a bite out of the Big Apple this year, Terry said,” with his original bronze sculpture and oil paintings in hand. Terry has had a long term relationship with New York City starting with his stent in the US Army at a nearby Army post during the Vietnam era when he discovered the Metropolitan Museum. This experience changed his life by getting the creative juices flowing toward his art passions.

“My artwork is very much a reflection of my internal energy and intense life experiences. I am able to express my spiritual heart though art… time literally stands still while creating! It is the infinite ideas, sense of presence, visual kinesis and process of stretching my mind that I relish.”

This ebullient creative force comes out in so many surprising ways; emotive, moody, or sensuous. “I don’t know the final outcome when I begin, a timeless intuition takes over and moves my brush on to the canvas!”

His art work has won various competitive honors and is in the permanent collection of several public institutions and numerous private collections and can be seen at terrybean.com.
